Water pressure release for life rafts HRU-LR2 (Hydrostatic Release Unit)
The HRU-LR2 is a device that can be used in the maritime sector for merchant vessels, oil platforms, cruise ships, military vessels, yachts, leisure boats, and aviation evacuation systems. It was developed for emergencies in which life rafts can no longer be manually released from their moorings, even if the boat is already sinking. It activates a blade to cut the rope securing the life raft to the vessel before the vessel reaches a depth of no more than 4 meters. The HRU-LR2 features a new, separate weak link system that detaches the life raft from the vessel once it is inflated.
